सोलर कुकर की संरचना - सोलर कुकर एक धातु का डिब्बा होता है और इसके अंदर काला रंग पुता होता है जो उष्मा का अच्छा अवशोषक होता है । इसके ऊपर एक दर्पण लगा होता है जो ज्यादा से ज्यादा प्रकाश को कुकर के अंदर भेजता है । इस पर एक काँच का ढक्कन होता है जो अंदर की उष्मा को बाहर निकलने से रोकता है । सोलर कुकर के उपयोग से लाभ सोलर कुकर के उपयोग से खाना पकाने में निम्न लाभ हैं (1) ईंधन की बचत होती है। (2) प्रदूषण नहीं होता। (3) रखरखाव पर कोई खर्चा नहीं होता अर्थात् आर्थिक बचत होती है। (4) खाना स्वादिष्ट एवं पौष्टिक बनता है। (5) खाने के जलने की सम्भावना नहीं रहती। (6) एक ही समय में चार-पाँच खाद्य पदार्थ पकाए जा सकते हैं।
